As the new year begins, the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office and its community partners want residents to know help is available for those facing difficult challenges.

The sheriff’s office will host the first “You Are Not Alone” Outreach event of the year on Saturday, January 17, at the Raleigh County Day Report Center, located at 115 W. Prince Street in Beckley. The event will run from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

The outreach is being organized by Sergeant B. J. Adkins and is designed to bring critical, on-site resources directly to individuals struggling with substance abuse, mental health issues, or homelessness.

Officials say outreach teams will be available throughout the event to offer assistance with no questions asked, creating a welcoming and supportive environment for those seeking help.

Community members are encouraged to visit the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page for the latest updates and additional information about the event.
