Man killed in Raleigh County propane truck crash

METALTON, W.Va. — A man was killed Thursday after the propane truck he was driving crashed in Raleigh County.

The Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office said the 62 year-old was heading westbound on Route 3 at around 3 in the afternoon when he suddenly lost control of the vehicle, owned by L&K Propane.

The vehicle ran off of the road and crashed in an embankment below. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver’s identity is being withheld pending family notification. The Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate the crash.
