Man arrested for terroristic threats at Wyoming County church

MULLENS, W.Va. — The Mullens Police Department worked alongside the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office to serve a warrant stemming from a threat complaint.

Robert Cooper, 63 of Mullens, was the choir director at the local church. According to Mullens Police, Cooper allegedly made violent threats toward the church after he was asked to step down from his role. It is unclear what exactly he said.

Cooper was out on bond at the time of the incident for a previous DUI. He is currently being held at the Southern Regional Jail in Raleigh County on $25,000 cash only bond.
