SCARBRO, W.Va. — The Fayette County Sheriff’s Department said late Thursday an argument over finances resulted in a man being stabbed multiple times.

At around 8 Thursday morning, Deputies responded to a residence in the area of Scarbro for a possible stabbing victim. Upon arrival, they found a man with non-life threatening wounds to his arms and back. The victim told Deputies he had been arguing with his ex-wife before she allegedly attacked him with a knife.

Jessica Dilley, 32, was arrested and faces a felony count of Malicious Wounding. She also is being charged with misdemeanor counts of Domestic battery and Brandishing a Deadly Weapon.

Upon arresting Dilley, Deputies found Clonazepam pills and other drug paraphernalia on her. She will also face a felony count of Possession with Intent to Deliver Narcotics.

Fayette County Sheriff Mike Fridley said Thursday they see an increase in domestic-related calls during the holiday season.

“Family tensions can often run high during the holiday season. In this case things went too far and resulted in someone getting arrested on very serious charges.”

Unable to post $50,000 bond, Dilley was placed in the Southern Regional Jail in Raleigh County.
